So, this past week I have been at camp as a counselor, and it was wild. We had drama out the wazoo. We had boyfriend, girlfriend drama, friendship drama, lots of other drama, but I am not going to go into all of that. Camp will always have drama. However, I would like to focus on positive events such as the great counselor classes taught by Mr. Doug. We participated in mock elderships and solved three problems a day. These were actual problems that churches have experienced. I know I learned a lot during these meetings, and enjoyed taking part in the elderships I was in.

I also really enjoyed the mock elderships, I have never really done anything like that before.
I agree with both you and Adam.
The elderships were really cool and nothing like I have done before as well.
Lots of drama but as we all had to constantly remind ourselves we were there two reasons.
First to worship God.
And second to be a good CHRISTIAN example to all those little kids there.
It was quite hard at times yes. But we just all needed to stay focused!
Christina, I couldn't agree with you more. I really think that we as counselors, should keep our focus on God, showing the campers why they are at camp. I realized that many of the campers did not want to be at camp and many were there for other reasons besides God. Maybe next year we can add in time for a TAG (time alone with God). We used to have those, and during this time period, the kids including the counselors follow a study packet and make more personal applications. No one sees your personal packet, but I helps campers and counselors find time to study and talk with God alone. If we added that I think that more campers would understand more about why we are there and get more out of camp.
